(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) The Cabinet held its regular session Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Haider Abadi.
"The Council of Ministers blessed the Iraqi people with the new year's solutions. The Council discussed the outline and strategy of the ministries' work. A number of priorities were agreed upon, in addition to a meeting to discuss what was accomplished and the work plan for the new year."
He added that "the Council of Ministers decided to expedite the payment of dues of farmers who planted the crop for the agricultural season 2017 -2018 Council of Ministers Decision No. 370 of 2017 on the payment of their dues."
The statement pointed out that "the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 365 of 2016 on the postponement of payment of loans to borrowers with interest from government banks that have debts to state institutions for contracting or equipment has been approved and paid in the light of their debts to state institutions and in coordination with the authorities From the date of the issuance of the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 40 of 2016 on 14-2-2016.
"The Council of Ministers voted on the final report of the work of the integrated control system for the city of Baghdad, and also voted on incentives for maintenance and collection of electricity."
The statement said that "the vote on the addition of a new article of the draft law of public holidays and as follows (the day of liberating the land of Iraq gangs of terrorist advocates corresponding to the tenth of December a national holiday and an official holiday of each year) and the announcement of the Victory Monument to be the official monument of the Republic Iraq, which reflects the championships and sacrifices of Iraqis in the defense of their homeland and security.
