called "Reza Pahlavi , " the son of the Shah of Iran late Thursday, US President Donald Trump to encourage the management of American technology companies to provide telecommunications services to the Iranians who go out in the protests. "Trump banned the travel of most Iranians to the United States,"

Reza Pahlavi said in an interview with Reuters , calling it "ridiculous."
"He wants the Iranians to decide their fate with their own free will," Pahlavi said.

He praised Mr Trump and his cabinet for their support of Iranian protesters, but said they should also take steps to ensure Iranians access to the social media and communication they use to share videos and messages documenting protests and clashes with security forces.

Experts in technology have documented many examples in which Iran's commercial services were banned, usually due to fears of US sanctions being violated.

Activists urged technology companies to soften their policies toward Iran but said Trump could also expand sanctions exemptions to ensure some services were allowed.

A spokeswoman for the Foreign Ministry The US did not directly answer the question of whether the ministry urged technology companies to do more to ensure access of Iranians to services, but said that US support to ensure the free flow of information to the Iranians "a key element in the new US strategy on Iran."
