Russia reveals for the first time its treasures hidden "for the black day"
In a unique precedent, the Russian central bank allowed a Russian newspaper to photograph part of Russia's gold-filled savings to inform public opinion of part of Russia's lunar eclipse on its black day, Russian TV reported on its website on Saturday.
According to figures compiled by Russia's Komsomolskaya Pravda, Russia's reserves in 1914 amounted to 1,312 tons of gold. Russia was second in the world at the time in terms of gold reserves of the US and France.
