The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced on Wednesday, the recommendation of the Council of Parliament to amend the draft law on public holidays.
"The amendment includes the text of Article (1 / I / L) to be" the day of liberating the land of Iraq from the gangs Wahhabism, corresponding to the tenth of December, the national day of the Republic of Iraq and an official holiday of each Public".
"The bill comes to highlight the most important events related to the lives and feelings of the Iraqi people, and to determine the national holiday of Iraq and the organization of public holidays and the cancellation of some events associated with the former regime."
The Council of Ministers voted during its meeting held on January 2, 2018 to add a new article to the draft law on public holidays, as follows: "The day of liberation of the land of Iraq is a gang of terrorist advocates, corresponding to the 10th of December a national holiday and an official holiday every year" .
