"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs briefed the European Commission on the European Commission's new strategy on Iraq for 2018 which was adopted on 8/1/2018," said a statement from the Foreign Ministry.
He added that the Iraqi Foreign Ministry welcomed the continued commitment of the European Union to support Iraq in the post-gangs, calling for the short and long term, and adopt the High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Policy and the member states of the European Union for its strategy for Iraq.
"The European Union appreciates the great sacrifices made by the Iraqi people in their war against gangs that support and defeat terrorism, and recognize the necessity and importance of the European and international contribution to support the efforts of the Government of Iraq to consolidate the constitutional democratic system and restore stability and create conditions for sustainable development."
We conclude by looking forward to the active participation of the European Union and all friendly countries in these efforts. The stability and development of Iraq is in the interest of Iraqis, the region and the world.
