Tehran threatens Washington: ready to accelerate uranium enrichmentIran is ready to speed up uranium enrichment if Washington breaks the agreement on Iran's nuclear program, Behruz Kemalfandi, deputy head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, said.
If the sanctions regime is not extended, it would be a violation of the joint comprehensive action plan and Iran would take the necessary steps, he added.
"It is important that we be well prepared for any circumstances, and that if the top leadership decides on nuclear activity, especially accelerating uranium enrichment, we will have such readiness."
