Oil Minister Jabbar al-Luaibi stressed the ministry's keenness to strengthen Iraq's role in Transparency International for extractive industries by adhering to the standards and mechanisms for disclosing the quantities produced and the revenues generated by crude oil.

He said that Iraq is one of the largest members of the Organization in terms of oil production and believes in adherence to the principles and standards of international transparency in the sectors of oil and gas and mining and the review and analysis and dissemination of revenue flow between the extractive industries and government agencies to enhance transparency to prevent corruption and provide an investment environment that encourages foreign investment, That Iraq is at the forefront of the oil states, which disclose information related to extractive industries.
