The Ministry of Health and the Environment organized awareness campaigns on the dangers of mines and remnants of war in the Nineveh Plain.
The director general of the Mine Action Department, Khaled Rashad, said in a statement that a joint team from the Department of Mine Action and the Environmental Awareness Department, in coordination with Nineveh Environment Directorate and Nineveh Plain Operations, had organized awareness campaigns on the dangers of landmines and remnants of war. Residents and students The schools of Bartla district, 20 km east of Mosul city center, included a number of primary and secondary schools and displaced families who returned to their areas in Nineveh province.
