The Dollar Continues to Rise as the Euro Falls

The US dollar continued to recover against major currencies on Wednesday, ahead of economic data, and after data affected the gains of the euro.
By 7:50 am GMT, the dollar was up 0.4% at $ 1.2213 and the yen up 110.76 yen by 0.3%.
The greenback was up 0.2% at $ 1.3770, while it rose 0.4% against the franc at 0.9631 francs.
The euro lost some of its gains after reports that some members of the Social Democrats were against talks with the Christian Democrats, represented by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, which has raised concerns about forming a coalition government.
