The legal expert Jamal al-Asadi, that the Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri, violated the rules of procedure of the parliament to vote on the date of the elections in secret.
Al-Asadi said in a press statement that "in part the continuation of the parliament session did not violate, either in the part of the vote, Jubouri has violated the rules of procedure of the House of Representatives, specifically in Article 25, which states that the presence of quorum necessary for voting and does not require the validity of the continuation of the meeting.
The House of Representatives had failed on Thursday by secret ballot to postpone the elections after the withdrawal of the National Alliance deputies and the bloc of change from the session.
