    [rtl]Trend Press / Agencies[/rtl]

[rtl]On the third anniversary of the first examination of the situation in Palestine, Palestinian Foreign Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Riyad al-Malki, called on the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Fatu Bensouda, to exercise its legal mandate without delay to prevent the continuation of crimes against the Palestinian people .[/rtl]

[rtl]In a statement to Bensouda, al-Maliki explained the escalation of crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces in the land of the occupied Palestinian state .[/rtl]

[rtl]In particular, the report stressed cases of violations of children's rights. The case of the arbitrary arrest and detention of the 16-year-old girl, Ahmet al-Tamimi, of the Prophet Saleh, has been committed since 19 December, in clear violation of international human rights law, in particular the Convention on the Rights of the Child, As well as violations of international humanitarian law, the Fourth Geneva Convention and international criminal law. These crimes also rise to the level of crimes within the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court and those provided for in the Rome Statute .[/rtl]

[rtl]These systematic and widespread crimes constitute an integral part of the regime of repression and racism used by the Israeli Government against the Palestinian people .[/rtl]

[rtl]"The Tamimi case is just another proof of Israeli policies and crimes of severe deprivation and discrimination against the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people and the children of Palestine, " he said.[/rtl]

[rtl]In the letter, al-Maliki demanded that the Office of the Prosecutor publicize its position on these ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people, in line with the practice in this regard .[/rtl]

[rtl]He stressed the importance of taking all possible steps to ensure that Israeli war criminals are held accountable for their crimes and occupation while protecting children and Palestinian civilians .[/rtl]

[rtl]Al-Maliki reiterated the need to speed up the opening of the criminal investigation, which contributes to deterring war criminals and achieving justice in the land of the occupied state of Palestine by not allowing impunity and lifting the immunity of Israeli officials and criminals .[/rtl]

[rtl]It is noteworthy that the number of Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons is about 7000 prisoners, including about 400 minor children (under the age of 18 according to international laws), living conditions of oppression in the prisons of "Ofer" and "Megiddo" and "Sharon" and " .[/rtl]

[rtl]These children are subjected to the cruelty of torture, unfair trials and inhuman treatment, which violate their basic rights and threaten their future to be lost, in violation of the rules of international law.[/rtl]
