China plans to impose "special emission limits" on projects in major industrial sectors in northern China later this year as it seeks to ensure its continued war on pollution.
China has forced 28 cities in the north of the country to reduce the concentrations of dangerous inhalable particles known as "BM 2.5" by between 10 and 25 percent from October 2017 to 2018.
China is trying to "normalize the commitment" and impose more permanent control and pressure on companies amid concerns that projects and local governments may reduce their commitment once short-term campaigns are over to meet air quality goals. Ending / 25 g
