A German city in the north-east of the country has closed the door to asylum applications after clashes between Syrian youths, refugees and Germans, some of whom are on the far right.
"The city of Cottbus, in the state, has decided not to accept more asylum applications, which has been widely criticized," the German radio quoted the minister as saying.
"The problem that triggered the violence between the two sides dates back to last Wednesday, after two Syrian teenagers aged 15 and 16 clashed with German teenagers. The clashes resulted in a German boy with a knife in his face, hand and leg. The city police arrested the Syrians and imprisoned them Pending investigation ".
The city of Cottbus has been witnessing for months the clashes between young Syrian refugees and a group of young Germans, some of whom belong to the ranks of neo-Nazis or rioters. Ending / 25 z
