A NATO official said that Turkey was briefing NATO on the operation of the olive branch in northern Syria.
A NATO official said on Sunday that Turkey briefed the alliance on the process of "olive branch" launched on Saturday, in the city of Afrin in northern Syria.
The official told Anatolia news agency that Turkey was "in an area of chaos, and that it suffered great losses because of terrorism."
"All countries have the right to self-defense, but they must do so in a balanced and moderate manner," the official said.
"Turkey has provided its NATO allies with information about the olive branch process," the NATO official said
