Iranian forces begin maneuvers in the Strait of Hormuz

Iranian armed forces announced on Monday, the start of maneuvers near the Strait of Hormuz strategic, lasting two days.
"The exercises aim to increase combat skills and raise the morale of the Islamic Republic of Iran , as well as transfer the experience to the younger generation, who participate in the exercises and assess tactical knowledge ," said Admiral Habibullah Sayari .
The exercises, dubbed "Muhammad Rasool Allah-5", began off the coast of Makran and the Strait of Hormuz in the south and southeast of Iran with the participation of naval, air and ground forces.
The exercises are held near the Strait of Hormuz, which is a major conduit for oil transport in the region, and the Strait of Hormuz recently witnessed many incidents involving the Iranian warships and the US Navy.
