    [rtl]Japan's central bank decided to keep the interest rate unchanged, indicating that inflation expectations are "almost unchanged".[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]The Bank of Japan's monetary policy statement showed Tuesday that the short-term interest rate was maintained at -0.1 %. "The central bank kept the yield on 10-year government bonds at zero and kept the quantitative easing program at the same rate of 80 trillion yen a year." The vote on monetary policy decisions was supported by 8 votes in favor of one vote .[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]Japan's central bank said inflation expectations remained unchanged, compared to previous releases showing a decline, and "although the risks to prices are still skewed towards the downside ."[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]Japan's consumer price index excluding food prices rose by 0.9 percent in November on an annualized basis, from 0.8 percent in October .[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]The bank expects the economy to grow by 1.4 percent in the fiscal year to begin in April and inflation by 1.4 percent over the same period .[/rtl]
