WASHINGTON (Reuters) - US President Donald Trump said on Sunday he was ready to sign his country's return to the Paris Accord, if the treaty were to undergo fundamental changes.
Trump said: "The Paris agreement for us would have disastrous results."
"If they reach a good agreement, there is always a chance to come back," he said, describing the current deal as "terrible" and unfair to the United States.
"If someone told me back to the Paris agreement, this agreement must be completely different because what we had was bad," he said.
Yes, I may return, and I am happy to do so.
