The head of the Madarak Foundation for Research and Studies, Mezher al-Saadi, revealed 141 members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, never attended the sessions of the parliament, including 106 officially approved by the Presidency of the Parliament, pointing to the existence of 145 laws on the drawers of the House of Representatives without approval.
Saadi said in a televised statement that "there are 296 laws readable first and second reading and voted on, including 151 laws passed within the House of Representatives in 145 laws are still on the drawers of parliament and will be returned to the government."
"It is strange irony that the House of Representatives spend more on the cafeteria than the parliamentary districts, where it feeds 360 deputies, whether they attended or did not attend."
On the comparison of this parliamentary session in the previous sessions, he said that "the first election cycle is better than the second and third because it was established, so now that we are close to the end of the session, the maximum attendance of deputies in one session 296 deputies, The number of 360 deputies, and the number of interrogations in this session is only 7 interrogations. "
He explained: "There are 141 deputies have never attended the House of Representatives, including 106 officially authorized by the Presidency of Parliament, and we have 15 deputies did not see them the Council two years ago."
