Alsumaria news/Baghdad

The
Iraqi Transport Ministry, confirmed Wednesday that it will take eight
airplanes Boeing 777 during the past present and future, as she would
not hire another company to buy new aircraft because what has been
contracted to develop the Iraqi air fleet.

The Transport
Minister, said Hadi al-Amiri said in an interview for "alsumaria news",
that "Iraq will receive eight Boeing aircraft, two aircraft this year,
and six others over the next year", stating that "this number is out of
45 aircraft contracted with the company."

Amri said that "these
aircraft in addition to other aircraft and Airbus that was purchased
previously, would be sufficient to develop the Iraqi air fleet," adding
that "the Ministry will not we contract with another company to buy new
planes."

Amri said that "Iraqi air fleet would be able to meet the needs of travellers without relying on interoperability."

The
Iraqi Transport Ministry, 20 December 2012, Kuwait dropped all
proceedings against Iraqi Airways, noting that the agreement is
considered a genuine new beginning for Iraqi Airways to build a new air
fleet.

The Iraqi Transport Ministry received, on 13 December,
2012, the first Boeing 777 out of 45 contracted with Boeing, with the
arrival of three Airbus planes.

Iraq is seeking to develop its
fleet of civil aircraft through a contract with a number of foreign
companies specialized in manufacturing aircraft after its adoption on
the rental of aircraft, where the occurred in May 2008 in Baghdad two
decades with Boeing for the purchase of 45 aircraft, and the second with
the Canadian to buy bombardo aircraft, with the Ministry of finance
showed that the total value of the contracts amounted to five billion
dollars.

It's great to see another premiere American company making deals with Iraq other than oil contracts.
