France begins trial on the Iraq oil-for-food program!

    Ali Salman-06/02/2013-9: 28 am

    After
diplomats, politicians, activists and journalists, scrutinizes the
trials of the "oil for food" in Paris in the involvement of French oil
group total in the case of embezzlement of funds under the embargo in
    Iraq.

And prosecuted a large number of former and current total
cadres in this case and would deliver them until early next week. And
Chairman of the Board will be interviewing the Director General
    Christophe de Margery Tuesday.

The Court said Agnes cantan "that
is complicated," referring to the organizational structure of the group
when the facts that took place between 1990 and 2000 at a rapprochement
with the group. It seems the organizational structure of the French oil
group, uncertain as to the processes that will establish responsibility
    difficult.

Since January 21, appeared in court accused of a dozen
total. Some have admitted to violating the ban on Iraq for ideological
or commercial reasons while others acknowledged they paid or received
    kickbacks, but not bad faith.

    But others, including former French
Interior Minister Charles Pasqua denied paying any commissions and
judicial troubles by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) or sordid
    politics

And like the head of French oil company Total SA and a
former Minister in court, in connection with charges of corruption in
the oil-for-food program, which was administered by the United Nations
in Iraq during the rule of Saddam Hussein.

    A French investigating
judge decided to refer the total wemargeri webaskwa and other suspects
for trial, unlike the French Prosecutor's recommendation, which is
subject to the authority of the Ministry of justice.

    Total face
and CEO Christophe de Margery and Swiss oil trading firm, arranges and
former Minister Charles Pasqua and 16 other defendants different charges
of corruption to influence peddling or collusion.

    And Adair in
Iraq between 1996 and 2003 in order to alleviate the suffering of the
Iraqi people by allowing the country to sell part of raw, despite the
ban imposed after the first Gulf war.

He said a United Nations report that the program has caused corruption on an international scale to billions of dollars.

    Procedural
issues dominated the first day of the trial, defense lawyers submitted
questions on the constitutionality of the charges. Lawyer, for example,
assumes that the company already had been convicted on charges related
to the oil-for-food programme in a court in New York.

The Court will decide on Tuesday whether to refer questions to the Court of Cassation, which could delay the case.

Total faces charges of bribery, collusion and profiteering from influence peddling charges denied by all.

    Wemargeri
accused of complicity in the misuse of corporate assets, faces
imprisonment for up to five years and a fine of 375,000 euros (499.3
    million dollars) if convicted.
