    The Iranian currency "Altoman" fell a record high in the decline; where the exchange rate of the US dollar against 4 thousand and 790 tomana, and the exchange rate of the euro against 5 thousand and 900 Toman, the first time that the US currency to this value. 

    While the agency "Esna" Iran that the market does not suffer from a shortage of currency, Russian media reported that some exchange shops in Tehran did not sell or buy the dollar after reaching this value. 

    The rise in the value of foreign currencies in Iran reflects the poor economic conditions in the country. Many cities witnessed demonstrations in late December to protest against poor living, widespread unemployment and rising prices.
