The Russian Foreign Ministry stressed on Saturday the need for full respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria in response to the Israeli raid on Syrian territory.
"Moscow is very concerned about recent developments and attacks on Syria," the ministry said in a statement read by the agency (information) regarding the Zionist air strikes several missiles on targets in Syria, calling on all parties to "restraint".
"The Syrian government forces are committed to the agreements to ensure the establishment of the zone of stopping the escalation in southwestern Syria."
"It is absolutely necessary to fully respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria and other countries in the region," the ministry said, calling on all concerned to "exercise restraint and avoid any steps that could lead to deterioration of the situation."
"It is absolutely unacceptable to create threats to the lives and security of the Russian military presence in Syria at the invitation of its legitimate government to help it fight the terrorists," she said. Ending / 25
