The dollar's performance diverged in anticipation of economic data

[rtl]Mubasher: The performance of the US dollar against major currencies on Monday, with the anticipation of US inflation data this week, after the gains made in the past week.[/rtl]

By 9:20 am GMT, the dollar was down 0.2 percent at $ 1.2278, and fell 0.2 percent against the British pound at $ 1.3860.
While the US currency stabilized at a 5-month low against the yen at 108.75 yen and settled against the franc at 0.9381 francs.
The Green Paper shed its wide gains last week amid volatile global markets, especially equity markets.
And all eyes at the present time to the US inflation data to be announced later this week amid speculation rising consumer prices , which could lead to the direction of Fed to raise the interest rate.
The Federal Reserve Chairman of the State of New York said last week that he may stop any furtherrate hike until mid-year to assess future inflation data.
