     KUWAIT: Talks with Iraq on gas import have reached final stages

    The Minister of Oil and the Minister of Electricity and Water of Kuwait, Bakhit Rashidi, Tuesday, that the talks with Iraq on the import of gas from Iraq has reached the final stages. 
    "The talks with Iraq on the import of gas from Iraq are in their final stages," Al-Rashidi said in a statement to Kuwait's Al-Qabas newspaper. 
    He added that "the transfer of gas from Iraq to Kuwait will be through pipelines, where Iraq is responsible for the lines extended in its territory, while Kuwait is responsible for the lines extending in its territory." 
    And on the investment of oil companies in Iraq, that "who is currently investing in this sector in Iraq are Kuwaiti private oil companies, but in the future there could be a government investment in the Iraqi oil sector."
