The Minister of Industry and Minerals, Mohammed Shi'a al-Sudani, on Saturday met an official invitation from his Saudi counterpart, Khalid bin Abdul Aziz al-Faleh, to visit Riyadh at the head of a government delegation.
"The visit comes at the invitation of the Saudi side and lasts for two days," al-Sudani said in an interview with the official Al-Sabah newspaper.
Al-Sudani added that "the visit will include a schedule of visits to industrial cities and major Saudi companies such as SABIC and Ma'aden in order to identify the mechanism of its establishment and formation, and benefit from the Saudi experience through specialized technicians within the delegation."
He explained that "the meeting of the Joint Energy Committee in the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council, which includes several committees will be held during the visit, as Iraq will be represented in this Committee and the Undersecretaries of Oil and Electricity, while the Saudi side will represent the Minister of Energy Khalid Al-Faleh."
