The issue of the preparatory certificate holders returned to the forefront in the House of Representatives again, after it was believed that they were dissolved by giving them 20 percent within the lists of candidates.

The preparatory campaign was again threatened with exclusion and the removal of their names from the nomination, after the appeals submitted by 35 deputies of the law and the constitutionality of the session in which they were accepted.

The Parliamentary Legal Committee has suggested that the Federal Court accept the appeal, stating that if the appeal is accepted, their names will be removed from the lists of candidates submitted to the Commission.

The member of the Legal Committee Zana Said in a press statement: "The Electoral Commission will delete the names of candidates from the certificate of middle school in case the Federal Court accepted the appeals reached on the unconstitutionality and legality of the session in which the parliament voted on the second amendment to the electoral law."

Said said: "The Legal Committee met with the Board of Commissioners on Sunday, and discussed the consequences of the cancellation of the names of holders of the certificate of preparatory in the event of the acceptance of the appeals court," pointing out: "The Commission began the process of checking the names of candidates and sent to the accountability and justice and the Ministries of Interior and Higher Education" .

And the member of the Legal Committee: "The verdict expected to be issued in the Federal Court is to accept the appeal submitted by 35 deputies, in the absence of a quorum in the voting session on the first amendment to the electoral law."

The House of Representatives voted late last month on the law of the House of Representatives elections and stipulated that the candidate obtains a bachelor's degree or equivalent to run for parliamentary elections in May. Then the Presidency of the House of Representatives approved a request submitted by a group of deputies holding a preparatory certificate to make a second amendment to the electoral law obligates each electoral list to allocate 20% of its candidates to the holders of this certificate.
