The Minister of Industry and Minerals "Agency" Mohammed Shi'a Sudanese, the desire and will of the Iraqi government to expand the prospects for economic cooperation with Saudi Arabia, especially in the fields of industry, minerals and electricity.
"The government is interested in supporting and embracing investors and is working to attract them to benefit from the successful experiences in various countries in the world, especially in Saudi Arabia with the aim of improving the investment environment," Sudani said in remarks on the sidelines of a meeting of the business sector in the two countries.
He added that the Iraqi delegation, which includes experts in the fields of industry, minerals and electricity, benefited from the Saudi experience leading in these areas, as it was based on planning and a clear vision for the advancement of the national economy.
"The Iraqi market, which has a population of 37 million, needs Saudi products and products," he said. "This vision was reinforced during the current visit to a number of Saudi cities and factories, which include the finest types of products." With the Council of Saudi Chambers to exchange necessary information on investment issues and work to find channels to facilitate the procedures and remove the obstacles facing investors in both countries.
