The US Treasury Department said President Donald Trump's administration would raise wages without causing inflation.
Stephen Munchen said in an interview on Thursday that there are many ways to increase growth, noting that there could be inflation in salaries but without inflationary fears in general, quoting the agency "Bloomberg".
In January, the core inflation rate was 1.8 percent, the same as in December.
One of the reasons why Trump won the election was that most middle-class Americans had little wage growth.
The Treasury Secretary told the United States that his country was less vulnerable to oil-induced inflation because of higher energy production there. "We did not rely entirely on foreign oil," he said.
Last week, US crude production was 10.270 million barrels per day.
Stephen Munchen said there were signs investors were concerned about rising prices and criticizing debt growth because they believed it would hurt US economic security. "But the president's policies will not cause inflation."
He also said he had no worries about foreign investment in the new US debt, which analysts expect to exceed $ 1 trillion.
