    US stocks ended higher on Monday, with the Dow Jones and Standard & Poor's gaining gains for a third straight session as inflation fears eased. 
    Wall Street benefited from the best performing technology sector, up 1.6%, with Apple gaining 2% and Intel up 2.9%. 
    Investors are waiting for the semi-annual testimony by the new Federal Reserve Chairman, Jerome Powell, before the US Congress on Tuesday to make some comments on the economic situation in the United States. 
    He warned the President of the US Central Bank of St. Louis, the acceleration of the pace of raising the rate of interest because of the negative effects on the tightening of monetary policy in the current economic situation in the country.
    On the economic front, new home sales in the US fell sharply in January to 7.8% on a monthly basis to be the second decline in a row. 
    At the end of the session, the Dow Jones rose 1.6% or 399.3 points to 25,709.3 points. 
    The Standard & Poor's Index rose to 2779.6 points, up 1.2%, while the Nasdaq rose more than 1.1% to 7,421.5 points.
