Reports: US Exchange Authority launches an investigation into electronic currencies

Mubasher : The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has issued dozens of orders to summon information on technology companies and consultants involved in the electronic currency market.
People familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday that the US is looking at the structure of the initial currency offering, which suffers from a lack of regulation on public offerings.
The US Securities and Exchange Commission warned investors of e-currency transactions at the end of last year, stating that the circulation and initial proposals of these currencies may violate federal securities laws.
The US pressure on currency trading is part of a global trend that fights e-currency transactions, especially in China and Japan.
