Trend Press / Continue - Revealed the appearance of Mohammed Saleh, financial adviser to Prime Minister Haider Abadi, for Iraq to pay the list of countries in the world to pay taxes, pointing out that the government resorted to the option of taxes in order to diversify the economy and end the rent .
"Iraq is ranked last in the world by paying taxes, because it does not correspond to 3 percent of GDP because the culture of tax payment is weak and strange for the Iraqi people, " Saleh said in an interview with Al-Watan Press .
Saleh added that "the payment of taxes a national mandate to contribute to everyone to provide the budget with funds and must go to the funds for projects seen by a particular citizen, such as the establishment of hospitals and streets and others," citing "the government's resort to the option of taxes to diversify the economy and the end of rents dependent on oil ."
"The tax imposed is very low and does not pose any burden on citizens," he said. "But politicians have to keep fiscal policy away from problems because they do not face more challenges."
