[rtl] Baghdad / Al-Sabah The Ministry of Transport has held lengthy discussions with Italian and French companies to implement projects in the ports and rail sectors as well as the establishment of airports. The director of media of the ministry, Laith al-Rubaie said in an exclusive interview with "Al-Sabah" that lengthy discussions conducted by the ministry with Italian and French companies for the implementation of future projects of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, as well as the sectors of ports and railways and the establishment of airports. He said that several issues were discussed during the meeting, including the reconstruction of Mosul International Airport, the support and development of the infrastructure of all Iraqi airports, and the civil aviation authority to provide the latest technology for civil aviation in accordance with international requirements.
Al-Rubaie said that the ministry has a lot of projects, businesses and facilities that can be played by Italian and French companies through investment. He pointed out that according to the instructions of the Minister of Transport Kazem Fajan Al-Hammami, it is necessary to prepare an integrated plan of action for the reconstruction of cities and provinces affected by terrorism, Projects for the ministry, which requires concerted efforts in order to build them with the participation of investment companies.
He pointed out that it was agreed with the World Bank to prepare consulting studies and draw up a plan for the reconstruction of damaged railways in the liberated cities, and the Italian delegation will later hold an expanded meeting with the Director General of the Iraqi Railways to discuss the most important railway projects and work to be accomplished.
