    [ltr]The official spokesman of the Ministry of Planning, Abdul Zahra al-Hindawi, said on Monday that the decision to stop deductions for salaries of state employees confirms the improvement of the Iraqi economy, pointing out that the decision refuted the rumors that were talking about increasing the rate of deductions, and the cessation of salaries by the end of 2018.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The approval of the budget by the parliament is an important step, and the ratification of the President of the Republic on the law quickly gave a positive step and a push for the development scene in general in the country, especially that the budget included a number of important paragraphs perhaps the most important is the suspension of the deduction of salaries State employees ".[/ltr]
    [ltr]"There was a deduction in previous years of 3.8 percent of the salary, but today this percentage was stopped within the new law and thus will give a great moral momentum and a message to reassure the employees of the state after a torrent of rumors that prevailed in the center of Iraq in the past period," noting that " These rumors were talking about increasing the rate of deductions, and the cessation of salaries at the end of 2018.[/ltr]
    [ltr]He stressed that "the decision to stop deductions came to the end and put an end to all these rumors and to confirm that the Iraqi economy and the development situation began to improve, because the cut was due to compelling circumstances passed by the Iraqi state," explaining that "conditions improved through oil sales, increase in production, Prices, as well as an improvement in other non-oil revenues (customs revenues, taxes and other revenues).[/ltr]
    [ltr]The House of Representatives voted on Saturday, 3 March 2018, to stop the deductions from the salaries of state employees in the budget bill for 2018.[/ltr]
