    US stocks rose at the end of the first session of the week on Monday, with the Dow Jones industrials climbing about 336 points as concerns about more protectionist trade policies faded. 
    Volatility in the Wall Street session comes as fears of imposing tariffs on steel and aluminum imports have eased amid remarks by the US president that he does not believe the United States will face a trade war. 
    Economic data point to slower growth in US service activity in February, but below analysts' estimates. 
    All sectors of the Standard & Poor's 11 index managed to close in green range with most sectors climbing more than 1%. 
    The Dow ended up 1.4%, or 336 points, to 24,874.76, the first in four sessions.
    The Standard & Poor's Index rose 1.1% to 2,720.94 points, while the Nasdaq rose 1% to 7,330.70 points. 
    The US stock market recorded losses last week and the Dow Jones lost about 771 points.
