Minister of Industry and Minerals Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani stressed the importance of the role of the private sector in the economic development process, stressing the need to maximize this role by reviewing the laws and regulations related to this sector.
Al-Sudani said during his meeting with the head of the Iraqi institute for economic reform Kamal al-Basri, that "economic reform of the economic concepts that concern the transition from the planned economy to the free economy and resulting in a change in development strategies and mechanisms of application in all sectors and areas."
Al Sudani pointed to "the technical reform plans adopted by the Ministry through supporting, sponsoring and encouraging the private sector and introducing it as a strategic partner with the government sector to implement industrial projects and diversify local production." He stressed his continued support and willingness to attract the private sector. "He said.
For his part, Al-Basri confirmed his support for all the efforts and directions adopted by the Sudanese minister and the Ministry of Industry over the past period and his readiness to cooperate with the ministry and its companies in all fields and in various aspects that need.
