Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The head of the Iraqi Constitution Drafting Committee, Humam Hamoudi said that “The article 140 of the constitution related to settling the crisis over the disputed areas was written in political form rather than according to the law.
A statement by Hamoudi’s media office quoted him as saying “This article was written politically rather than being legally when the constitution was drafted, stressing “This involves serious thinking over it to address this crisis.”
“Exchanging the accusations and deploying military forces is not good solution for resolving the crisis but this can be achieved through the constructive dialogue,” the he added.
“The temporary solution is to form mutual forces between Baghdad and Erbil,” Hamoudi added noting “The deployment of federal military forces by the federal government does not violate the constitution and the agreements as it comes within the tasks of the government.”
