Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said on Wednesday that he was in talks with the Iranian delegation currently visiting Iraq, headed by Iranian Vice President Yitzhak Jahangiri.
"We have an opportunity to work together to establish peace and stability and end armed conflicts in the region, based on cooperation, respect for the sovereignty of states and non-interference in their internal affairs," Abadi told a news conference after the meeting.
"Talks with the Iranian side included trade, demarcation of borders, Arab water, economic and trade cooperation, and transfer of funds," he said. "There is a discussion between the two delegations and specialists to follow up and sign the minutes of the meeting between the two countries."
