Director of the Department of Residence in the Ministry, Major General Haitham Gharabawi, said in a special statement to the "morning" that the Directorate formed committees in coordination with other security services, the mission is to follow up and prosecute foreigners entering the country informally. He added that the committees will conduct field visits to hotels, restaurants and other places where foreigners are located in Baghdad and the provinces of the country, and work to check their official papers and ascertain the way to enter the country. Al-Gharabawi said that the committees are holding all foreigners who entered the country illegally or ended their stay and did not review the residence departments of the Directorate in Baghdad and the provinces for renewal, noting that the mechanism of entry of foreign workers inside the country is through official channels. He added that the company investing in projects inside the country will submit a request to include the number of foreign workers working in the project through the ministry contracted, provided that the proportion of workers working in the project is 49 percent while allocating the rest of the jobs to Iraqi workers to contribute to the creation of jobs and eliminate the Unemployment in the country. The director of the residence department explained that his department has set up various mechanisms to grant residency to foreign workers, such as payment of insurance of two million dinars for each worker by the company, in addition to obligating the company to work on the deportation of the labor provided by them. , Pointing out that the Directorate uses the amount of insurance to pay the plane fare and other costs to return the worker who leaked to his country. He stressed the continuation of the Directorate of granting residence to all foreigners wishing to enter Iraq for tourist purposes and visit the holy sites through its departments and spread in Baghdad and the provinces, pointing out that the process of granting the attribute of entry and residence of a range of mechanisms, including security check for the person and make sure that his name is not included in the list of internationally wanted for terrorist issues Or other.
