    A spokesman for Prime Minister Saad al-Hadithi's press office said on Tuesday that the cancellation of the ban on airports in the Kurdistan region is the beginning of positive and fruitful cooperation in the framework of resolving differences and problems, adding that the government is moving towards completing the imposition of federal authority on the disputed areas smoothly.

     
    Al-Hadithi said in a statement that "the government has confirmed from the outset that the aim of imposing the measures is the sovereignty of the state on all its territory and the exercise of its sovereign powers stipulated by the Constitution," noting that "we do not have any negative attitude towards the region or its citizens, Iraqis, .


    He added that "Baghdad has touched on the response of the provincial government on the activation of the provisions of the Constitution and the exercise of powers of the government and the impact of the beginning of the special steps to resolve the problems and differences as provided by the Constitution and preserve the sovereignty of the state has already been lifted the ban on aviation in the Kurdistan region."


    He said al-Hadithi that "this measure the beginning of positive cooperation fruitful in the framework of resolving the remaining outstanding issues and there is progress in the file of salaries of health and education staff in the region."


    He pointed out that "we seek to resolve the rest of the other problems relating to border crossings and land and the issue of oil exports from the fields located in the Kurdistan region, as well as complete the imposition of state sovereignty on the disputed areas smoothly and away from the complexities of security."
