The US dollar fell against major currencies on Friday, after economic data, coinciding with political tensions in the United States.
According to press reports yesterday, private lawyer Robert Mueller issued a memorandum demanding for the first time a collection of documents from the organization of US President Donald Trump, some of them related to Russia.
By 7:40 am GMT, the dollar was down 0.1 percent at $ 1.2319, and fell 0.6 percent to hit 105.74 yen.
The greenback was down against the British pound at $ 1.3952, down 0.1%, and fell 0.2% against the Swiss franc at 0.9499 francs.
The dollar's main index, which measures the performance of the currency against 6 currencies, fell 0.2% to $ 89.99.
