Royal Jordanian Airlines announced on Friday that it will resume scheduled flights between Amman and Erbil and Sulaymaniyah in northern Iraq starting on April 1. The two passengers will also be offered a discounted price of 280 dinars for both return and return flights.
"Travelers to Erbil and Sulaymaniyah can buy tickets from today until the end of this month to travel between April 1 and June 8, 2018," the company said in a statement.
"Royal Jordanian will operate 10 flights per week to Erbil and four flights per week to Sulaymaniyah," the statement added.
The decision to resume flights in light of the announcement by the Government of Baghdad to reopen the airports of the two cities in front of air traffic, after all the airlines operating to Erbil and Sulaymaniyah had suspended flights to them on the twenty-ninth of September 2017.
