    BAGHDAD / Oil Minister Jabbar Ali al-Allaibi opened on Saturday the wet oil processing unit at the West Gas Quarantine Station in the West Qurna field with a capacity of 50 thousand barrels, while stressing the ministry's keenness to increase production rates in the oil fields through its projects. In cooperation with international companies operating or through the national effort.
    The minister said during his speech at the opening, according to a statement of the ministry received by "Eye of Iraq News" that this project is a boon in the oil industry and was completed in record time, a project that enhances the production capacity of the field and improves the quality.
    He pointed out that "the completion of the project will re-operate 15 wells were closed because of their impact on water, which will boost production rates by 20 thousand barrels to reach the total capacity of the station estimated at 160 thousand barrels per day.
    "The completion of this unit will increase production rates in the field, which will boost the production capacity of Iraq," said Oxen Mobil representative, Zon Rueiner. "The work was completed by one million non-stop working hours over a period of two years through Sipec, which is assigned to work.
    "The project was completed at a cost of less than the planned budget of 10 percent and is among the four projects to raise production capacity to high levels," the representative of the company said.
    While the Chairman of the Joint Committee for the management of West Qurna 1 / Hassan Mohammed, that the project was completed in record time and three months ahead of schedule, which was reflected positively in raising the rate of production of the field during this year, the project was implemented according to high specifications, National training site to acquire modern experiences, adding that the ministry on the date of opening the seventh wet oil processing unit soon after.
