BAGHDAD / NINA / The spokesman for the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council, Sheikh Hamid Maaleh said that the (citizen bloc) would go to the next parliamentary elections in a single list.

He told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that the first signs refer to the possibility of entering the upcoming parliamentary elections individually, because "the next elections will be held according to (Saint Lego) system, which does not encourage entering elections according in large lists or large alliances."

He explained that "this law pushes (citizen bloc) to remain alone in the upcoming parliamentary elections, adding that the final decision has been taken so far, because of ongoing consultations and meetings among the parties of the National Alliance on the issue of alliances ."

Maaleh confirmed that there will be subsequent alliances after the parliamentary elections , because " small and medium blocs cannot form a government , therefore a large coalition is needed to form the next government .
