At least 19 people were killed and more than 12 injured when a bus plunged into a ravine south of Manila, police said.
Regional police chief Romi Esteba told Radio ZMM radio that the bus broke the safety bridge barrier on a bridge and fell off a 15-meter rocky slope in the Osmental Mindoro area, Reuters said.
In another context, the presidential palace in the Philippines welcomed the arrest of the Lebanese accused of the murder of the maid Joanna Demvelis, whose body was found in Fraser, a refrigerator in Kuwait.
