BAGHDAD - The member of the Commission on Integrity Parliamentary High Nassif, on Thursday, that the State of Kuwait refuses to give up its debts to the Iraqi government, pointing out that the debts of Saudi Arabia raise doubts because of the lack of necessary evidence at the United Nations.
"The majority of Arab countries have waived their debts to Iraq under the Paris Club agreement," Nassif told Iraq News, adding that "Kuwait refuses to waive and Saudi debts raise doubts because there is no official evidence at the United Nations, but it was recorded on Iraq" .
She added that "Saudi Arabia was pumping money to Saddam Hussein to fight Iran, that Iraq is the eastern gateway to the Arab world."
She explained that "the Iraqi people can not afford to pay the debts of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait because of the non-disbursement of the funds of these two countries to the people themselves," noting that "the Iraqi government is supposed to play a diplomatic role to topple Iraq's past debts." Finished
