US sanctions 9 Iranians for piracy

The United States has listed nine Iranian figures and institutions on the sanctions list on the pretext of being involved in e-piracy.
The US Justice Department announced that the sanctions affect nine personalities and institutions "building", charged with the responsibility of trying to penetrate the computers of hundreds of American universities and foreign dozens of US companies and government institutions, and stressed that the Iranian government is behind the attacks.
About 31 terabytes of electronic data and intellectual property rights were stolen in the context of the attacks, from 144 US universities and 176 in 21 countries, the ministry said.
Among those accused are an Egyptian, an Iranian national accused in 2017 of breaking HBO and publishing episodes of the series "Conflict of the Arush" in the Internet.
