    The missile force carried out wide-scale ballistic strikes late on Sunday against Saudi targets targeting Saudi airports in Riyadh and Asir, as well as Najran and Jizan, where the missile strikes included other undeclared targets.

    The Saudi-led Arab alliance announced that the Air Defense Forces had detected the launch of seven ballistic missiles from inside Yemeni territory towards the Kingdom and succeeded in intercepting them.


    "Three of them were in the direction of Riyadh city, one towards Khamis Mushait, one towards Najran and two towards Jazan," spokesman for the Arab coalition forces Turki al-Maliki said. "It was launched indiscriminately and absurdly to target civilian and populated areas."


    "The Saudi Royal Air Defense Force was able to intercept all the missiles and destroy them," the spokesman said. "The intercepting of the rockets led to the dispersal of shrapnel on some residential areas, according to preliminary information.


    Maliki described the action as "aggressive and indiscriminate by the Houthi group," again accusing Tehran of involvement in supporting the "Houthi armed group with qualitative capabilities."
