Iraqi-Saudi coordination for the opening of a branch of the Iraqi Bank in Riyadh
The governor of the Central Bank, Ali Alaak, on Saturday, the coordination between Baghdad and Riyadh on the opening of a branch of the Iraqi Bank for Trade in Saudi Arabia in order to facilitate the process of trade exchange between the two countries,
The coordination comes at a time when the Iraqi government and its Czech counterpart signed an agreement to avoid double taxation in the initials.
"The monetary relations between Iraq and Saudi Arabia are good, and soon a branch of the Iraqi Bank for Trade in Saudi Arabia will open in order to facilitate the trade exchange between the two brotherly countries," he said.
"Saudi Arabia will also decide to open a branch of one of its banks in Iraq soon, which will encourage economic relations between the two countries," he added.
Meanwhile, a statement by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said that "the governments of Iraq and the Czech Republic signed the text of the agreement to avoid double taxation in initials in the building of the Ministry of Finance in the Czech capital Prague," noting that the signing was "a culmination of the efforts of the delegations of the Iraqi-Czech talks to success."
