The arrival of "huge" numbers of US troops to Afghanistan

new US brigade has arrived in Afghanistan , where it will train and advise local security forces.
Afghan media reported that the surge of US troops was about 1,000.
A Pentagon statement said the US brigade was led by Colonel Scott Jackson, who had previously taken over training security forces in Iraq. The brigade will train Afghan forces throughout the country, from Mazar-i-Sharif in the north to Helmand and Kandahar in the south.
The brigade will also train Afghan infantry forces, and will also include units for military intelligence, military engineers, artillery and logistics.
It should be noted that the new strategy of US President Donald Trump in Afghanistan, announced in August to increase the number of US troops deployed in Afghanistan.
