TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran has the right to develop its missile weapon to stand up to threats, Iranian Defense Minister Amir Hatami said on Wednesday, saying Tehran was seeking a political solution in Syria and stood against military intervention.
"Iran has the right to develop its missile weapon to stand up to threats," Hatemi said at the 7th Moscow International Security Conference on Wednesday (April 4th).
He stressed "the need for cooperation among the countries of the region in the face of international terrorism, which is spreading as described, in cyberspace."
"The Iranian-Russian-Turkish cooperation is leading the Takfiri groups, but so far it has not been able to dry up the source of this thinking," he said. "We have gained extensive experience in fighting terrorism and defeating it.
"It is necessary to cooperate among the countries of the region to eliminate terrorism, which is also spread within the virtual world," he said.
